Dear British Columbian Breeders,

On July 27 to July 28, 2008 we will be hosting a Hanoverian mare test and foal registration at our farm in Pemberton, BC. Dr. Ludwig Christmann will be the German judge along with Mr. Albert Kley of Alberta. Dr. Christmann is also prepared to advise with respect to any young stallion prospects. We are looking forward to this opportunity to meet other British Columbia breeders and believe strongly in a cooperative effort to promote understanding of the unique qualities of the Hanoverian here in BC. Dr. Christmann will be giving a talk on Sunday afternoon and there will be a barbecue after.

Information with respect to the inspection has been posted on our web site at dreamcatchermeadows.com. Information packages have also recently been mailed to you by the Hannoveraner Verband E.V. and the Western Canadian Breeding Club which set out the requirements for eligibility of horses. As noted Thoroughbred, Arab, Anglo-Arab and Warmblood mares with 4 generations of approved populations are eligible. You may have or know of foals from approved sires and if the dams can be approved these foals may be registered with the Hannoveraner Verband. A growing mare pool is the best way to grow the breed here in British Columbia.

If you have mares which you think may be eligible you need to forward a copy of their papers to Dr. Christmann by June 21, 2008 in order to have them inspected.
