TRAINING

Dreamcatcher Meadows is an established training facility. We specialize in dressage training for young riders as well as the training of young horses. John Dingle with many years of experience in animal husbandry and agriculture has a phenomenal ability to work with our horses on the ground. This groundwork, including a systematic lunging program, is critical in achieving our objectives of a well mannered, athletic and balanced riding horse. Once the respect is established on the ground the horses are brought into a training program based on the German riding scale. Jill Giese works with all riders to achieve the objectives of balance, impulsion and straightness. Riders gain confidence and experience from working in our indoor arena and outdoor rings and participating in clinics and shows. We have access to over 10 kilometres of riding trails along the Lillooet River for both conditioning and relaxation.

BOARDING

In addition to our young riders we have been very successful in providing mature riders with a full service facility. A number of our clients are returning riders who want to learn and progress, perhaps get back into the show circuit but whose career or family commitments mean that they have limited time available. Dreamcatcher Meadows provides a program of schooling, lunging, turnout, instruction and barn care which accommodates these needs. In 2008 we have brought from Germany a student who will work with clients' horses to insure that riding is an enjoyable experience for all. Isabel has had the best training possible in Germany and will be an important addition to our team. Whether you can ride twice a week or every day we can customize a suitable program around your schedule.
